Antique Victorian Diamond Cross Pendant, by Garrard

Item #505359
An incredible antique, this Victorian diamond cross pendant by Garrard is a true collectible for the jewelry enthusiast as well as the historian. Allegedly crafted from the original Star of the Order of the Garter given to Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield and Prime Minister of England under Queen Victoria, this jewel was reformed as a pendant in the years following his death. Formed of a central cross of ruby-red garnets surrounded by diamonds with elaborate diamond fleur-de-lys edging on the terminals of the cross, this pendant is a truly exquisite example of Victorian craftsmanship. Includes manufacturer's box.
